Redpoint Norman: A Unique Cottage Community for Students of Oklahoma University

The University of Oklahoma’s student housing on college campuses has changed from the days of the narrow, cramped barren room shared by two students who were total strangers. Now, at Red Point Norman, there are modern cottages and townhouses built for students with private living quarters that even allow pets. In these homes, there are numerous amenities such as rooms for entertainment, wi-fi in every room, washers and dryers in the living quarters, porches, outdoor lounge with fire pit and more. Also, there are 24-hour fitness centers, a recreation room with pool tables, outdoor swimming pools with umbrella lounge chairs and areas such as sand volleyball courts and rock-climbing walls. Unlike the housing of years ago, Red Point Norman is just minutes from the college’s academic buildings. In fact, there is a private shuttle bus that will transport students to their classes.

Redpoint Norman provides campus student housing that is composed of roomy cottages and townhomes with porches and patios that are perfect for visiting with friends or having one’s morning coffee or just sitting outdoors later in the day to get away from the books and laptops. As part of the University of Oklahoma’s Student Housing, these residences are so cozy and comfortable that parents may fear that their children will want to extend their education to an extra year or so. There are floor plans for two, three, four and even five bedrooms. This complex is also pet-friendly and has a dog park so students can bring part of their family with them to college. Pet owners realize the importance of this opportunity as dogs especially miss owners or family members and do not understand their departures.

There is also a business center where students can utilize iMacs and have free printing. There are also private study rooms and a canteen for snacks. When students wish to relax and socialize, there are opportunities in the entertainment room that has billiard tables and an outdoor fire pit. Residents and friends can all use the center for social events, too. Those interested in this comfortable community should contact Redpoint Norman at
