Cellulite has the tendency to create a dimpled appearance on the surface of the skin; cellulite is caused when fat cells are trapped in the fibrous networks in the body. Because of the puckered appearance, cellulite is often called cottage cheese skin or orange peel skin. Treatment for this condition is a major component of the health and beauty industry and Italian skin products for cellulite are available that minimize the effects.

There are Italian skin products that are commonly used; this treatment is in the form of a cream. The cream contains natural ingredients such as seaweed and clay which are said to smooth the surface of the skin. Similar products are available that are in the form of an oil, there are also foam applicators. Many users of these creams, oils and foams are of the opinion that the effect is a direct result of the massaging action that is an integral part of the application.

Another method of cellulite treatment is muscle stimulation through electric currents which pass through the affected area. When electric muscle stimulation is performed, the individual has pads placed on the body, electric current is passed through the pads which in turn causes the muscles to contract and relax rapidly. Another method which uses skin stimulation is a vibrator system which generates high frequency vibrations which are said to stretch the skins fibers and to enhance the circulatory system.

It is thought that the buildup of toxins and other forms of excess fluids in the body have the tendency to create cellulite. A special technique has been developed whereby massage is being used to drain the system of these toxins and fluid. This massage treatment promotes circulation and impedes fluid from lodging in the fat cells where it can solidify. Massage is not the only method that is being used to drain the toxins; sauna and hydro therapy are also being employed for the treatment and prevention of cellulite.

Liposuction is an invasive procedure and as such is usually the last resort for the removal of trapped fat deposits. A small incision is made in the skin and the fat that is trapped between the muscle and the skin is sucked out by vacuum. Visit eurOrganicsBeauty for more information.
