For now, nickel metal hydride battery packs are still a leading power source. Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) does offer fierce competition, but the two have managed to carve out different niches. NiMH batteries still have unique properties that make them a worthy alternative to Li-Ion in certain situations.

You’ll also likely find them in most electronics that use small, rechargeable batteries. They are a low-cost, high-capacity option that can maintain a constant voltage during use.
