Using Candy Making Molds

When you are using custom candy making molds, there are a few things you may want to know. When you are ready to mold candy, make sure you have a decorating squeeze bottle, disposable decorating bags and non-stick parchment paper.

Instructions

  1. When you are ready, using a spoon, place the melted candy in the bottle or disposable bag used for decoration. Once the bag is filled completely, gently tap the bag on the counter to ensure there are no air bubbles present.

  2. Once you have filled every mold, place the tray in the refrigerator or freezer until the candy sets. To ensure the candy has set, check the bottom side of the mold to see if it is frosted. When the candy mold sets, unmold the candy and look for dark spots on the candy. Dark spots are an indication of unsettled candy. In this situation, the candy molds need to be placed in the refrigerator or freezer for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. The last step is to unmold all candies completely using waxed or parchment paper. Once the candies are unmolded, you can decorate them or enjoy eating them.
