It’s important to be sure of the value of a display you buy. There are a multitude of different custom trade show exhibits, so of course not all of them have the same quality.

It’s not hard to find displays that are extremely high in quality. When you think about buying a less expensive alternative, there are several questions that should be addressed. You should consider questions about quality, adaptability, user-friendliness and security.

Frame

The frame should have a lifetime warranty. This warranty has to come from a reputable and well-known production company, preferably in your general area. A “no questions asked” lifetime warranty ensures that everything will be taken care of.

The frame should also be heavy-duty and be able to bear loads. A low-strength frame is easy to find, but it won’t be able to securely support all of the objects included in your booth. It’s good to look for displays that can hold up to 500-700 pounds.

Aircraft-grade aluminum is another thing to look for in frames. It’s a strong, sturdy material that makes it great at securing a booth. It’s also very lightweight and easy to manipulate. Many systems that are cheaper use recycled aluminum that lacks strength and aesthetic appeal.

High quality connectors are a must when looking at frames. A lot of systems lack this feature that seems so basic.

Channel Bars

Channel bars must always come with high energy magnetic tape for the strongest bond possible. Graphic panels are also an important choice. One of the biggest pitfalls of cheap displays is weak magnetic tape.

Channel bars should also have removable parts. Most displays that are dirt cheap tend to have pieces that are glued together. If you want to change things up a bit and replace the parts, you’re out of luck. This is very inconvenient in case a particular part malfunctions.

Something that blocks out unwanted light is also essential for channel bars. When a display lets sunlight gleam through the cracks, it looks unprofessional – which makes your business look unprofessional.

Channel bars should also lock onto the frame. This gives the display extra strength. A slide ‘n’ lock channel bar system would guarantee an impeccably level frame.

Hubs

The hubs of a display ought to use strength engineered POM plastic. Using this material may be more expensive, but it’s less likely to break. Cheaper materials like nylon and low-quality plastics should be avoided.

Hubs must also have color coordination. This ensures that the system will be easier to set-up. This is another basic requirement that some custom trade show exhibits fail to even include.

Shopping for custom trade show exhibits can be difficult and expensive. Just make sure that you aren’t compromising quality for a “better deal”.
