You can’t ask for a more beautiful location for a wedding than outdoors in Hawaii. It doesn’t matter if you choose to hold it on a hillside or on a beach, the odds are the weather will be wonderful and the scenery lovely. There is one more feature that is a perfect way to frame the view and add a magical touch to your ceremony, that is with the addition of a wedding canopy, called a chuppah.
These have long been a standard in Jewish ceremonies, but they have become popular in others as well. This is four poles attached to cross bars across the top, that has fabric gracefully draped over the top. The couple stands in front of the Wedding Chuppahs in Maui and the person performing the ceremony can stand under it. It makes for a perfect backdrop and looks wonderful in photos.
You can rent Wedding Chuppahs in Maui from companies that rent other items used for weddings, such as chairs, tables, dance floors, lighting, tents, dinnerware and more. Or, you can even make a rustic one of your own. No matter which you use, you can use the simple sheer fabric draped artistically over the chuppah, or you can add some unique decorations of your own. You can add some of the same type of flowers you are using in other areas to the poles or the top, or you can go native and use some palm fronds to add a Hawaiian touch. Even shells you have gathered can be added with wire or glue to the chuppah you have made yourself.
This type of backdrop can be as simple or as elegant as you want. You can cover the entire thing with flowers or fabric, or use both. You can add colorful streamers that will float in the breeze. For a sunset or night time wedding, try adding some strings of fairy lights to the poles. You can even hang a chandelier for an extra dramatic effect.
